About Me

I started my journey to becoming a therapist at Texas State University, where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2016. I then pursued my Master's of Science in Rehabilitation counseling at The University of North Texas. While at UNT, I completed my practicum at the UNTWell Clinic, where I gained specialties in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, school/home transition issues, financial concerns, time management, and sexual orientation.

From there, I worked for a non-profit organization that helps individuals with concerns relating to trauma and PTSD. I gained experience with crisis interventions, PTSD, dissociation, trauma-related mental health, bipolar, sexual assault, domestic violence issues, and relationship issues.

My genuine desire and passion for supporting those in need has driven me to pursue counseling and strive to be an authentic therapist.

Approach

A person-centered approach is the base of my therapeutic orientation. I use mindfulness, positive psychology, and a holistic approach to fully engage and provide a safe space for you. I also incorporate CBT/CPT or other trauma-focused structures into my therapeutic approach, depending on each individual’s concerns.
